No vegan food here. It's a barbeque, stop expecting vegan options everywhere you go. Any BBQ place with no vegan food deserves 5 stars.

We stopped in for lunch and were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated. This has a great southern barbecue restaurant with country decor. I got the Smokehouse salad with beef brisket and ranch dressing. This was a fantastic salad that was huge and easily could be two meals. I look forward to having this again.

We have eaten here a few times over the years. This bbq place has been here for close to 70 years. Their bbq is always spot on and the portions are very generous. I decided to try something different so I went with the chicken that is first smoked and then fried. It was a great choice and it didn't disappoint. The server was very attentive and our drinks stayed full. I also got the fried okra and the green beans. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to return. The do have some outside seating which would be awesome when the weather is cooler.

Leaving Dino World, we looked for something to eat for lunch and came across Johnson's. The wait staff was amazing and tended yo is almost immediately. They had great kid options got kids. I got the smoked wings and they were good. The ribs were tender and so flavorful. As a bbq lover, this spot definitely holds a high rank

Johnson's has some of the best pricing and portions for BBQ in the area. This location is always busy, but the staff does a great job of getting everyone in and out quickly. Our server during my most recent visit was top notch as well. On this visit I had the Chicken BLT that came with grilled chicken and fries as my side. It was prepared and out to the table in record time and everything was delicious. A staple of Plant City and a must try when in the area.

We were looking for a good lunch spot near the Florida Strawberry Festival and found Johnson's Barbeque. The restaurant truly has a southern barbecue feel. I loved the fun signs and artwork throughout. All of the servers were very polite and accommodating. The restaurant was busy, but they seated us promptly and were quick to take our order. Our server later asked if we would move tables (a large party was on the way), and although this wasn't a big deal to us because our food hadn't yet arrived, they brought us a full order of onion rings on the house. We ordered Elton's BBQ survey which came with ribs, wings, a choice of two other meats, and 3 sides (all for around $28.07; as an aside, I've never seen pricing down to the cent). We decided to get the BBQ'd chicken and brisket. For sides, we chose the potato salad, mac and cheese, and sweet potato souffle. And of course, we had the full order of onion rings. The onion rings were incredibly fresh--so hot, we could barely hold them. They were the perfect crispy on the outside, soft on the inside onion rings. The ranch that came with them was a perfect pairing. In terms of meat, the Elton's BBQ survey has a large portion. The ribs were phenomenal. They fell off the bone and I really enjoyed the glaze that came on them. I actually liked the glaze better than their 2 barbecue sauces. In general, I was surprised that they didn't have more than 2 sauces. The brisket was very lean which made it feel a tad dry, but the flavor was good. The chicken wings were awesome; I recommend you have them prepared "wet" with their house glaze. The smoked chicken breast was good, but also came a bit dry and the smoked flavor didn't carry throughout the meat. The mac and cheese was my favorite side. I thought the potato salad was pretty standard. I also enjoyed the sweet potato souffle for the pecan flavor, but I found it to be a bit too sweet. I think it's a great barbecue spot in the area and I'd be interested in trying out their berry brisket tacos next time!

We came into town to ride the Big Banana Car and decided to have some lunch before heading back across the state to get home. We had appetizers since it was going to be a long drive. Staff was super friendly and dining space adequate for any size group. We sat outside on the porch since it was a nice day. I can't think of anything we didn't like. The fried pickles had a perfect coating that did not fall off like many I have tried before. Onion rings were tasty and not too greasy and the chips with pulled pork and blue cheese so, so good!! We were offered drinks to take with us which is always nice. I look forward to trying them out for dinner sometime!

This place is down home good! The staff is extra friendly...Evie is a gem. Kelsey is a fantastic server; even though it was extremely busy, they were both attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful... The food ... the food... let's get to the food... I ordered Eltons BBQ survey with a little of EVERYTHING! BBQ wings, ribs, brisket, fried chicken, yeast rolls, Mac n cheese, collard greens, sweet potato fries... it was mostly all delicious! The brisket left a little to be desired in the flavor department... the rest was some of the best BBQ I've had in a long, long time The barbeque chicken was ordered by our party as well... it was so moist and delicious that it didn't need any sauce, but of course, we did use the sauce on the table, one spicy, one sweet..YUM! Another person in our party ordered the chicken sandwich and ate every bit without talking.. there may have been humming, but no talking... it was that good! The side salad was a nice size and the pickles were crunchy and vinegary... It's really great, try it now... go, eat

Partner introduced me to this place recently. We went for lunch and it was Taco Tuesday. I was shocked to hear they do 1/2 price for their Famous BBQ Tacos. Enjoyed all 3 flavors - Chopped Pork BBQ, Grilled Chicken and Beef Brisket Tacos. They were huge tacos. I ate and took two home. And as good as the food was, the service was just as good. Can't wait to go back.

A massive delicious meal. The BBQ Survey and the BBQ Potato Skins appetizer was enough to feed 2 adults and a toddler and still have a large serving still leftover. Everything was cooked to perfection. The meat pulled right off those ribs. The sweet potato soufflé was just ok but everything else was maximum deliciousness. And the sweet tea is SWEET tea.
